The Project

EndoPAT by Itamar Medical is a non-invasive diagnostic device for Functional Vascular Health Assessment. Together we created the entire digital interface of the system: from managing patient records and the test itself to where doctors get insight about their patients and diagnose them accordingly.

Research

The poor usability of medical devices affects patients and can cause tremendous harm and even lead to death.

Entering a wrong value might result to a x2.2 overdose.¹

In 2010 the FDA investigated the operation of fusion pumps¹. One of the findings was that the interface does not necessarily make clear which unitsof measurement (lb/kg) should be used when entering a patient’s weight.

Therefore, clarity of information and simple usability were considered top priority.
